Write to your representative
Congressional offices tally constituent mail by issue. A short, specific letter is counted.

The few companies building the most advanced AI keep their alignment research to themselves, even as their systems break out of test environments and hide mistakes from their own developers. When one lab learns how to prevent a failure, the others should know too.
Please support legislation like the proposed National Framework for Shared AI Alignment Research, which would require frontier AI developers to confidentially share all of their alignment research with one another through a federal repository, checked by independent monitors. It needs no moratorium and no public release of trade secrets.
